Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing and customer service at one of its Houston-area locations.

Responsibilities include data entry, stock management, and assisting with OTC items while delivering excellent patient care. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and pharmacy technician training, plus good typing speed and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or completion of a certified technician program.
• TPBP registration or certification if required by state law.
• Two or more years of retail pharmacy experience or completion of accredited technician program.
• Ability to type 20 WPM and operate a pharmacy computer system.
• Proven ability to communicate with customers and handle questions and complaints.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist in prescription preparation and verification at point of sale.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
• Stock OTC items, price changes, and maintain OTC areas.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and bag merchandise.
• Refer questions to Pharmacist and support clinic pharmacy activities.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of shelves and price signs.
