Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician II to fill prescriptions for hospitalized patients. You will prepare medicines, stock supplies, and collect patient information, with potential to create compounded meds and IV solutions.

This overnight graveyard position is scheduled 5 days per week from 10:30pm to 7am, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a major regional hospital.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
• Licensure by California State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician.
• Continued recognition as Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions for patients admitted to the hospital.
• Prepare medication, stock supplies and collect patient information.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will fill prescriptions for patients admitted to the hospital. Your typical duties include preparing medicine, stocking supplies, and collecting patient information. You may also be asked to create compound medications and IV fluids.

• You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security as a per regulatory requirements throughout the organization
• You will interact daily with hospital personnel in person and by phone
• You will need to identify and solve problems with pharmacy automation with or without technical support

What qualifications you will need:

This position is an overnight graveyard role. You will be scheduled 5 days per week and the hours are 10:30pm-7am

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Completion of pharmacy technician training program
• Licensure by California State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician
• 2yrs recent experience as Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital setting required
• 2yrs IV experience preferred
• Successful completion of Technician Certification Exam
• Continued recognition as Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
