Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for overnight shifts to support inpatient services. You will fill prescriptions, prepare medicines, stock supplies, and assist with IV prep, under regulatory rules.

The role requires a California Pharmacy Technician license, 2 years acute hospital experience, and completion of a technician training program; occasional collaboration with pharmacy automation systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
• Licensed as Pharmacy Technician by the California State Board.
• 2 years of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital.
• IV experience preferred; Technician Certification exam completed.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions for hospitalized patients and prepare medicines.
• Stock supplies and collect patient information for accurate dispensing.
• Create compounded medications and IV fluids as needed.
• Maintain medication storage and security per regulatory requirements.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will fill prescriptions for patients admitted to the hospital. Your typical duties include preparing medicine, stocking supplies, and collecting patient information. You may also be asked to create compound medications and IV fluids. We have an amazing team, apply today!

• You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security as a per regulatory requirements throughout the organization
• You will interact daily with hospital personnel in person and by phone
• You will need to identify and solve problems with pharmacy automation with or without technical support

What qualifications you will need:

This position is an overnight graveyard role. You will be scheduled 5 days per week and the hours are 10:30pm-7am

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Completion of pharmacy technician training program
• Licensure by California State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician
• 2yrs recent experience as Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital setting required
• 2yrs IV experience preferredSuccessful completion of Technician Certification Exam
• Continued recognition as Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
