Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Kellogg Cancer Center Infusion Centers, rotating across Evanston, Glenview and Highland Park. This per diem role requires a current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license and a high school diploma, with CPhT preferred and certification within two years.

You will prepare sterile IV products, manage inventory, assist pharmacists with records, and place orders to ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPhT preferred; certification must be obtained within two years of licensure.
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; on-the-job training available for motivated learners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded products for IV infusion in accordance with sterile clean room regulations.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and medications for patient care.
• Assist pharmacists in maintaining medication records and files.
• Place medication and supply orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Pharmacy Technician-Kellogg Cancer Center Infusion Centers.
• Location: Rotating across Kellogg Cancer Center (Evanston, Glenview, and Highland Park locations).
• Per Diem - As Needed Hours: Rotating 8 Hour Shifts. Monday-Thurs 7-6pm, Friday 7-5pm.
• Required Travel: Yes between sites, based on rotating schedule

What you will need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. If candidate does not have prior compounding and/or hospital experience, then we are willing to provide on the job training to an individual who is motivated to learn aseptic compounding skills and is a quick learner looking for a new challenge

• Ensure there is adequate inventory of supplies and medications available as needed for patient care
• Assist pharmacists in maintaining medications records and files as needed
• Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned
