Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician I - Retail to join the team at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This per diem role involves assisting the pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, and handling medication labeling and packaging.

The position requires Illinois registration, a high school diploma, and a CPhT certification within two years of licensure.

Qualifications

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must pass the PTCB or board-approved exam within 2 years of licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience preferred for retail positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications.
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses.
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago IL

Per Diem (As needed)

Hours: Rotating Shifts Monday-Saturday 8:45 am - 7 pm.

Travel Required: Yes. Floats to other Endeavor Health outpatient pharmacy locations as needed.

What you will need:

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
• Skills: N/A
