Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time position offers 40 hours weekly with rotating day shifts (9 am–7 pm) Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays, with potential to float to other Endeavor Health locations.

You will assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications, maintain patient records, prepare doses, and manage inventory.

Qualifications

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must become certified by passing the PTCB or board-approved examination within 2 years of licensure
• Experience: Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience preferred for retail positions

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago, IL
• Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: Rotating Shifts M-F, Days 9 am - 7 pm and rotating Saturdays required
• Travel Required: Yes, may float to other Endeavor Health locations as needed

What you will need:

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
• Skills: N/A
