Job summary

Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital seeks a Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient. Per diem, rotating shifts, minimal hours.

You will assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications. Requirements include Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license, High School diploma, and a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam or another board-approved exam within 2 years of initial licensure.

Qualifications

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by PTCB or Board-approved exam within 2 years of licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience preferred for retail positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications.
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses.
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Per Diem - As needed
• Hours: Rotating shifts. Monday-Friday, weekends and rotating holidays

What you will do

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

What you will need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
