Job Summary: Provides technical support for pharmacists and clinicians to ensure safe and effective transitions in care at admission and discharge, supporting medication reconciliation and discharge pharmacy services. Collaborates with the patient care team. Attends required in-services and skills development courses. Upholds the hospital’s key values and demonstrates teamwork at all times.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting pharmacists in preparing and processing medication orders to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery and billing.
• Organizing daily tasks efficiently and collaborating well with team members.
• Maintaining medicine stock in good condition to ensure availability of quality drugs and supplies.
• Providing pharmacy services in patient care areas.
• Participating in quality improvement efforts and supporting the Pharmacy Department’s commitment to Total Quality principles.
• Keeping knowledge and skills current and assisting in educating others.
• Setting personal goals aligned with departmental objectives for quality enhancement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of employment.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days or enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School.
