Job Summary:

Following established policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the hospital pharmacy department. Assumes responsibility for inventory maintenance to ensure that quality in-date drug products and supplies are available when needed. Participates in training new staff, attends periodic area meetings, and upholds the hospital’s five key values. May be cross-trained to other areas.

  • Variable shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Location: High Point Medical Center, Central Pharmacy
  • Sign-on bonus: $6,000 (eligible for qualified candidates)

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Helping pharmacists prepare and process medication orders accurately and timely.
  • Organizing daily tasks efficiently and collaborating with team members.
  • Maintaining medicine stock quality and availability.
  • Providing pharmacy services in patient care areas.
  • Supporting quality improvement efforts and team goals.
  • Updating knowledge and educating others.
  • Fostering a positive work environment through good communication and teamwork.
  • Providing age-appropriate care according to Age Specific Care Guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technology course.
  • One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • PTCB technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of employment.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days or enrollment in an accredited Pharmacy School.
