Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team. You will work alongside pharmacists to help ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medication services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include entering data into EPIC, preparing medications for dispensing, stocking inventory, and assisting with training. A High School diploma is required; CPhT within six months of hire and active State Board registration or willingness to obtain it are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPhT certification required within six months of hire.
• Active registration with the State Board of Pharmacy or willingness to obtain upon hire, including fingerprints for FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and medication information into EPIC.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Retrieve, count, package, and label medications accurately.
• Assist with sterile compounding preparation and training as applicable.
• Fill medication orders and prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Receive, stock, and maintain medication inventory.
