Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in providing patient-centered care. Under pharmacist direction, you will interpret and prepare medication orders, fill carts, manage automation, and contribute to sterile compounding in non-hazardous settings.

You will handle inventory, operate dispensing cabinets, assist with patients at the window, document regulatory activities, and support training of new staff while upholding safety,

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology; possess good mathematical, computer, and aseptic technique skills.
• Knowledge of BOP/Dept of Health/DEA rules/regulations.
• Interpersonal skills in dealing with subordinates, peers, supervisors and others outside the department.
• Problem solving abilities
• Ability to work in team situations, handle urgent, stressful conditions.
• Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
• Data entry skills

Responsibilities

• Interpret and prepare medication orders; fill provider orders, medication kits/trays, automated dispensing cabinets, floor stock requisitions.
• Operate automation and inventory management technology; enter patient charges and credits.
• Provide excellent customer service at pharmacy window and over the phone.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas; manage STAT deliveries.
• Maintain logs and regulatory documentation; perform temperature monitoring, inventory checks, and environmental cleanliness.
• Assist in training of new personnel and mentorship of pharmacy technicians and interns.
