Job summary

The role includes inventory fulfillment, managing floor stock requisitions, assisting with sterile compounding in non-hazardous environments, operating a cash register for payments, and delivering medications to patient care

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology; possess good mathematical, computer, and aseptic technique skills.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and prepares medication orders; fills provider orders, medication kits/trays, automated dispensing cabinets, and floor stock requisitions.
• Performs cart fills and code tray refills; handles controlled substances per regulations and policies; processes payments for pharmacy products and services.
• Proficient with automation and computer systems; enters patient charges and credits.
• Provides timely customer service; answers calls, assists at the pharmacy window, and maintains a clean, efficient work environment.
• Packages and labels medications; delivers to correct patient care areas; ensures timely delivery of STAT medications.
• Adheres to compounding regulations and documentation requirements; contributes to a compliant and safe pharmacy workflow.
• Participates in training and mentorship of new staff; supports quality assurance and regulatory activities.
