Job summary

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Pharmacy Technician position is based in Anchorage, AK and works under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to perform a variety of complex technical functions requiring extensive pharmacology knowledge.

This role has two levels designed to provide progressively more responsible duties; progression is based on qualifications and demonstrated ability. Alaska license or eligibility within 30 days is required, NABP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Alaska Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician through NABP (for Technician II).
• Two years of experience in a pharmacy setting or demonstrated proficiency as a Pharmacy Technician I.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist performing complex technical tasks.
• Progress between job levels based on qualifications and demonstrated ability.
