Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine invites you to join Johns Hopkins Care at Home as an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician. Under the supervision of pharmacists and fellow technicians, you will support medication preparation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management to ensure safe, efficient returns to patients.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalency, Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration upon hire, and certification within 2 years (PTCB or NHA).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency is required.
• Registration with Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.
• Certification through PTCB or NHA within 2 years of hire.
• 6 months of pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medication preparation, packaging and distribution.
• Support inventory management and stock control.
• Work under direct supervision of pharmacists and fellow technicians.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure safe medication handling.

Education

Join our dynamic team as an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. Working under the direct supervision of pharmacists and alongside other skilled technicians, you'll be responsible for a diverse range of tasks aimed at supporting medication preparation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire.
• Must become certified through and approved certification board (PTCB or NHA) within 2 years of hire.
• 6 months experienced preferred but not required

Shift and Schedule:

• Rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:30am-8pm
• Rotating Weekends

Salary Range: Minimum $19.25/hour - Maximum $31.80/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
