Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I who will dispense medications, maintain drug inventory, and accurately update patient records under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

You will fill orders, dispense controlled substances with proper documentation, assist with ordering and stocking, and prepare items for delivery to patient care areas, while organizing and prioritizing urgent and routine requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of related experience is preferred.
• Active Registered pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern, per State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and maintain drug inventory under pharmacist supervision.
• Update patient records accurately.
• Dispense controlled substances with proper documentation and report discrepancies.
• Assist ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Prepare orders and medications for delivery to patient care areas.
• Organize and prioritize work assignments and respond to requests promptly.

Education
