Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to dispense medications, manage drug inventories and maintain patient records under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will fill orders, document controlled substances, and ensure stock levels align with policy.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred 2 years of related experience and current pharmacy tech registration or intern status as per state rules. This position is on-site at the Florida facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of related experience is preferred.
• Active Registered pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern as per State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders requested by physician or pharmacist and deliver to patient care areas.
• Dispense controlled substances with proper documentation; report discrepancies to the pharmacist.
• Ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies per established policies and procedures.
• Assist ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals; rotate stock.
• Pick up orders and medications for return from patient care areas during rounds.
• Organize and prioritize work assignments; respond to urgent and routine requests.
