Job summary
Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join its team. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with Days/Evenings rotating shifts and every other weekend. Qualifications
- High School or GED required.
- Virginia registration as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
- Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
- Restocks assigned areas and puts away unused medications; follows inventory procedures.
- Orders items, stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
- Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose picks for doses and floor stock.
- Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
