Job summary

Qualifications
- Current registration with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire date
- Completion of a formal vocational/technical training program for pharmacy technicians and/or 1 year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Fill automated dispensing systems
- Package unit dose medications
- Prepare non-sterile compounding medications
- Produce labels and prepare IV admixtures (including chemotherapy)
- Prepare medications
- Provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems
- Stock and deliver pharmacy supplies
- Destroy controlled substances within the facility when needed
