Job summary

Wesley Medical Center, part of the Wesley Healthcare network, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I to support dispensing, labeling, compounding, and IV admixtures. The role requires Kansas registration and CPhT within 6 months, with vocational training or hospital inpatient experience preferred.

You will contribute to a dedicated pharmacy team in a large hospital setting. The position offers opportunities for skill development in automated systems, medication packaging, and patient safety

Qualifications

• Current registration with the State of Kansas according to the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire date.
• Completion of a formal vocational/technical training program for pharmacy technicians and/or 1 year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill automated dispensing systems.
• Package unit dose medications.
• Prepare non-sterile compounding medications.
• Produce labels and prepare IV admixtures (including chemotherapy).
• Prepare medications.
• Provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems.
• Stock and deliver pharmacy supplies when needed.
• Destroy controlled substances within the facility when needed.
