Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and patient safety. This role reports to the supervising pharmacist and adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration or eligibility, with 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred for entry level and certification paths for higher levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Missouri Pharamacy Technician registration or eligibility required (Fingerprints for FBI background check).
• 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred for Tech I, 1 year required for Tech II; 3 years for Tech III if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow federal, state, and local laws and regulations for patient safety.
• Complete orientation and participate in team-based care.
