Job summary

Mercy is seeking Pharmacy Technicians at Tech I, II, or III levels in Missouri. You will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, and ensure safety and accuracy in every prescription. You will help train technicians and contribute to improving workflow while adhering to Mercy service standards.

The role emphasizes training, medication checks before dispensing, and compliance with federal and state laws, supporting patient-focused pharmacy services.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• License: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit registration by first day of work; fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: Tech I 1 year preferred; Tech II 1 year required (2 years preferred); Tech III 3 years required.
• Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow applicable state and federal laws for care and safety of customers and patients.
• Train pharmacy technicians and support workflow improvements; check medications before dispensing.
