Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support drug distribution for patients under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Duties include processing prescriptions, stocking ADMs/robots, and assisting staff.

Inpatient tasks involve compounding non-sterile products under supervision; outpatient tasks include processing orders and data entry. Excellent accuracy in a fast-paced environment is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
• Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines or robots.
• May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff.
• Delivers meds to beds or patient care area.
• Electronically processes outpatient prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
