Dartmouth Health Lebanon, NH seeks a certified Pharmacy Technician to perform routine and specialized duties under a Pharmacist's supervision. This is a Full-Time, 40hr per week, benefitted position at Dartmouth Health's Lebanon location.

Qualified applicants must hold NH Board of Pharmacy certification as a CPhT, with PTCB or NHA credentials preferred; strong accuracy and multitasking abilities are essential for this fast-paced environment. Base benefits are included with employment.

Overview

Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients.

This is a Full-Time, 40hr per week, benefitted position.

Medical Insurance: Two medical plans available through Anthem BC/BS: Employees also receive a base employer contribution of 4% of biweekly pay plus a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that is matched with a Health Savings Account and a PPO Plan that features higher premiums balanced by copays and lower deductibles.

Retirement: Employee contributions are vested immediately . Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved-for a maximum match of 2% of pay.

Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays.

Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Answers Phones.
• Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
• Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (example: shelves, carousels, Parata).
• May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff.
• Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Assists in revising policy and procedure.
• Delivers meds to beds or patient care area
• Inpatient Only:
• Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems.
• Outpatient Only:
• Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist.
• Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production.
• Processes third party claims.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.

Required Licensure/Certifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required - National Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification with PTCB or NHA required
