Job summary

Elevance Health (Anthem) BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician I focused on data entry and basic prescription interpretation. The role supports pharmacists by verifying member information and accurately inputting data, with attention to ICD-10 coding and medication rules.

Hybrid schedule: in-office 1–2 days per week with flexibility for virtual work. Training will occur onsite, with ongoing support for member benefits and formulary questions.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; or combination providing equivalent background.
• Current State Pharmacy Tech license required.
• Certification or national certification based on applicable state(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and data enter basic prescriptions and troubleshoot adjudication issues.
• Verify member information and input data for pharmacists.
• Read, interpret, and transcribe prescriptions and lab notes, including ICD-10 codes.
• Educate members on pharmacy rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
• Provide resolution to grievances and appeals issues.
• Respond to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits.

Monday - Friday

Shifts

• 8:00AM EST - 4:30PM EST


• 9:00AM EST - 5:30PM EST


• 10:00AM EST - 6:30PM EST


• 11:00AM EST - 7:30PM EST


• 12:30PM EST - 9:00PM EST (Fully Virtual besides training)

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week , fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Job Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician I will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions, and troubleshooting adjudication issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.


• Current State Pharmacy Tech Required.


• Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Specialty Pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.


• Prior experience working in a call center environment preferred.


• REMS & Oncology experience highly preferred.
