Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II-Certified (Medication Listing Assistant) 7on/7off, to join our hospital pharmacy team, to deliver optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time.

Essential Functions Include

• Filling and delivering medication orders for all age groups under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Performing non-sterile compounding and repackaging.
• Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
• Processing cart fills, refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
• Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
• Collecting medication histories from patients and/or compounding sterile admixtures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: One year relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy, required.
  • PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire or FPGEE/FPGEC, required.
• Additional Skills Required:
  • State registration and/or renewal evidence required for Technicians fifteen days prior to expiration.
  • Certification through PTCB, NHA, or active in FPGEE/FPGEC.
  • Strong math, communication, and technology skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple facilities, as needed, and to be part of a resilient team.
• Additional Skills Preferred:
  • Knowledge of medication names, doses, routes, and effects.
  • Patient interview skills and professional communication with healthcare teams.
