Position Summary:

As an experienced Body Shop Technician with Penske, you’ll use industry-leading technology and repair techniques – plus cutting-edge diagnostic equipment – to get our customers' vehicles back up and running in high-quality condition. Major Responsibilities:

• Perform all levels of truck collision repair and maintenance, including cab/sheet metal repair, fiberglass, welding, frame straightening, suspension, electrical systems, painting, and more.
• Identify parts needed for repairs and document warrantable repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Road test vehicles as necessary.
• Work independently and efficiently.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of practical experience or equivalent education.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Specialized repair and refinishing experience for trucks and trailers.
• Proficiency with tools, including welding and paint equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow safety and regulatory guidelines (DOT, OSHA).
• Regular attendance and the ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

This position is safety-sensitive and regulated by DOT requirements. Candidates must be able to work alert and safely at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting.
• Use of hands for operating tools and controls.
• Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Good vision and hearing to navigate the work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
