Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in delivering safe, efficient pharmacotherapy. The role emphasizes accurate preparation, verification readiness, and timely medication delivery within a hospital setting.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, NC Pharmacy Board registration, and be willing to become a certified pharmacy technician within 90 days. One year of hospital pharmacy tech experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year Pharmacy Tech experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Overview

Performs functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services. Utilizes requisite equipment, non-sterile compounding supplies and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, preparation for verification and/or delivery of medication. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the pharmacy, equipment and supplies. Assists in training new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures.Requires certified within first 90 days and registered with NC Pharmacy Board within the first 30 days of hire.
