The ideal candidate must be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy and be a Certified Pharmacy Technician, preferably with at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Registered with NC Board of Pharmacy Required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Required.
• 1 Year Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Inpatient/Acute) Preferred.
• 1 Year Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Outpatient) Preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician I performs functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, friendly and cost-effective pharmacotherapy services. Utilizes requisite equipment, non-sterile compounding supplies and computer systems as appropriate for the procurement, preparation for verification and/or delivery of medication. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the pharmacy, equipment and supplies. Assists in training new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Licensure

• Registered with NC Board of Pharmacy Required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Required

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• College Courses Pharmacy Preferred

Experience

• 1 Year Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Inpatient/Acute) Preferred
• 1 Year Pharmacy Tech - Hospital (Outpatient) Preferred
