Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team on a full-time schedule. You will assist pharmacists with preparing and filling prescriptions, entering information into pharmacy systems, and labeling medications used in cancer care.

This role requires strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You must be NYS-registered with a national certification (CPhT or ExCPT) and have a high school

Qualifications

• Certification requirement: National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT from National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Office of the Professions, State Education Department.
• High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma.

• Enter prescription information accurately into pharmacy systems
• Package and label medications for patient use
• Support the preparation of both hazardous and non-hazardous medications under pharmacist supervision

• Participate in quality assurance activities to help ensure patient safety and accuracy
• Follow established pharmacy procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
• Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support outstanding patient care

About the Role As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping patients receive the medications they need safely, accurately, and on time. Working alongside licensed pharmacists, you’ll support the preparation, packaging, labeling, and management of medications used in cancer treatment and patient care. Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
