Job summary

Indiana Regional Medical Center in Allegheny County, PA seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy.

Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will prepare medications, enter orders, assist with inventory, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Comparable experience in healthcare setting will be considered.
• Licensure/Certification: CPhT obtained within 2 years of hire and maintained per PTCB standards (required).
• Must complete registration with Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and package medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner.
• Enter and maintain medication orders in the pharmacy information system.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations per USP standards (including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN if applicable).
• Maintain accurate inventory, restock dispensing machines, and conduct periodic audits.
• Assist in medication reconciliation and billing processes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
