JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED and CPhT certification along with 2 years of sterile compounding experience.
The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring medication inventory, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, and providing customer support. The position is onsite and operates during day shifts, offering a dynamic work environment in the healthcare field.
Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information to process prescriptions. Assists the pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients. Monitors medication inventory levels and places orders to restock. Develops strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Supports pharmacological services by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, placing and expediting orders, reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and compounding sterile and non-sterile products and other pharmaceutical therapies. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800.
Lift and carry 25 lbs. Frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use. Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
