Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment to support a complex specialty/mail order pharmacy. You will work under the direction of a pharmacist to fulfill prescriptions, package and label orders, and manage inventory with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration, customer service, and problem-solving to meet operational objectives within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program within first year.
• Ability to become registered as a technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
• Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Partner with pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate, safe medication delivery.
• Fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in a timely manner.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas.
• Maintain stock levels and accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex specialty/mail order pharmacy. This may include delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications and orders and inventory management. The Pharmacy Technician will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
• Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and accurate inventory records, completing cycle counts and reconciling as appropriate.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within first year of employment
• Ability to become registered as a technician with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
