Job summary

Capsule is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Philadelphia to ensure accurate, timely delivery of prescription orders to patients.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, data entry, labeling, and QA checks, with a focus on safe, compliant operations and patient communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year experience counting/packing medications and prior authorizations.
• Certified pharmacy technician in the state of employment.

• Proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications; able to learn new software.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting and entering prescription information in compliance with state regulations
• Using various computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels.
• Packaging and delivering medications following standard procedures to ensure safe and secure delivery
• Conducting quality assurance checks, reaching out to prescribers and patients when needed, and resolving third-party rejections
• Preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling the required medications from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging

Requirements

• You have a High School Diploma / GED and you have 1+ years of prior experience in counting/packing medications and prior authorizations
• You are a certified pharmacy technician within the state of employment
• You are familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand, and generic names of medications)
• You are proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications and are able to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• You are available to work within operating hours: Philadelphia Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
