About the Role

• Interpreting and entering prescription information in compliance with state regulations.
• Using various computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels.
• Packaging and delivering medications following standard procedures to ensure safe and secure delivery.
• Conducting quality assurance checks, reaching out to prescribers and patients when needed, and resolving third‑party rejections.
• Preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling the required medications from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED and 1+ year of prior experience in counting/packing medications and prior authorizations.
• Certified pharmacy technician within the state of employment.
• Familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand, and generic names of medications).
• Proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications and able to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
• Available to work within operating hours: Los Angeles Pharmacy Hours – Mon–Fri 9:00 am–6:00 pm and Sat/Sun 9:00 am–5:00 pm.
