Job summary

Capsule is a new kind of pharmacy that delivers medications same-day for free and has a national presence with significant investor backing. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure accurate and timely delivery of prescriptions.

You will interpret prescriptions, process orders in various systems, and prepare medications for delivery, with QA checks and coordination with prescribers and patients. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience counting/packing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years counting/packing medications and prior authorizations.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in the employing state.
• Familiar with SIG codes, brand and generic names of medications.
• Proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications; able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescription information in compliance with state regulations.
• Use computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels.
• Package and deliver medications following procedures to ensure safe delivery.
• Conduct quality assurance checks, contact prescribers/patients when needed, and resolve third-party rejections.
• Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying info, pulling medications, scanning and packaging.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting and entering prescription information in compliance with state regulations
• Using various computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels.
• Packaging and delivering medications following standard procedures to ensure safe and secure delivery
• Conducting quality assurance checks, reaching out to prescribers and patients when needed, and resolving third-party rejections
• Preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling the required medications from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging

Requirements

• You have a High School Diploma / GED and you have 1+ years of prior experience in counting/packing medications and prior authorizations
• You are a certified pharmacy technician within the state of employment
• You are familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand, and generic names of medications)
• You are proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications and are able to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• You are available to work within operating hours: Atlanta Pharmacy Hours:
  Monday - Friday 9:30PM-6:00PM, Saturday - Sunday 11:00AM - 3:00PM
