Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. You will perform technical duties in handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals to patients across neonatal to geriatric care.

Required: High school diploma, current GA Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least one year of experience. Strong IV skills and experience in infusion, chemotherapy, NICU are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration.
• One year of experience as Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Perform various technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

• Strong IV Skills
• Experience in Infusion, Chemotherapy and/or NICU areas.
