Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists with filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders and to handle packaging and delivery of medications. The role also involves providing patient care services across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Requirements include current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration and at least 1 year of experience; certification through PTCB or NHA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Preferred: Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED:

1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
2. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

1. Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
