Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to assist pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. The role involves handling, packaging, and delivering medications, with patient care across neonate to geriatric populations.

Candidates must be currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Georgia and have at least one year of technician experience. PTCB or NHA certification is preferred. Work hours are variable with weekend requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
