Smith’s Food & Drug Centers is seeking a pharmacy technician to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, and deliver attentive customer service in a compliant environment. You will assist with data entry, reception, and dispensing activities while maintaining HIPAA standards and safe patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, confidential information handling, and appropriate licensure or registration where applicable.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a healthcare or retail setting.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness services and patient interactions.
• Assist pharmacists and perform reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory guidelines (HIPAA, CLIA if applicable).
• Provide non-dispensing support using available platforms and applications.
• Assist in clerical duties and training of clerks/technicians.
• Ensure accurate processing of prescriptions and customer interactions.
