Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a dedicated team member to assist the pharmacist in a busy California Walgreens location. You will greet customers, support dispensing activities under supervision, process prescriptions, handle cash, and contribute to a positive in-store experience.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy in medication handling, and collaboration with healthcare providers. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, with opportunities for advancement and training in pharmacy

Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
Willing to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
Prefer good math, computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related pharmacy duties.
Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and verify accuracy.
Support inventory management, ordering and storage of medications.
Handle cash register duties and assist customers in locating products.
Communicate with physicians and customers to resolve issues and ensure safe medication use.
Participate in training and maintain PTCB certification commitment.
