Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions, restocking inventory, and supporting medication distribution at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg.

Work day shift onsite with weekend/holiday rotation. Responsibilities include labeling, dispensing under supervision, inventory control, and helping with training of new staff while maintaining accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fast-paced environment experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting and weighing medications.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• State-approved RPT for PA is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders.
• Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled and dispensed on time.
• Prioritize workload and coordinate with team members.
• Monitor expiration dates and manage inventory levels.
• Communicate drug information requests to a pharmacist.
• Assist with orientation and training of new pharmacy colleagues.
• Maintain inventory of prescription and OTC products in designated areas.
