Job summary

Cookeville Medical Clinic is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work directly with patients and assist physicians while dispensing medications and performing administrative duties.

The successful candidate will input prescriptions, adjudicate claims, maintain medication inventory, and support the dispensary with accuracy and professionalism. A Tennessee CPhT and HS diploma are required, with at least one year of CPhT experience.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• CPhT certification in Tennessee.
• 1 year experience as a CPhT in clinical or retail.
• Excellent PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Input prescriptions into Pioneer Rx.
• Adjudicate insurance claims.
• Fill prescriptions and validate counts.
• Record information for record keeping.
• Dispense prescriptions to patients.
• Perform secretarial, clerical and housekeeping tasks; customer service; maintain cleanliness.
