Job summary

ChenMed, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations, assist with medication processing, and interact with patients and providers. You will work under the Pharmacist supervision to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires one year of pharmacy experience, state registration, and a willingness to travel for training. Evening/weekend shifts may be needed as part of a patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; education may be substituted year-for-year.
• Board of Pharmacy Technician registration and current licensure.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience including data entry.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach pharmacy technicians in using systems and processes.
• Greet patients in person or by phone; answer questions and refer complex inquiries to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory; place orders; verify receipts and expiration management.
• Maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques and handle stock discrepancies.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and compliant with procedures and regulations.
• Enter patient and drug information; fill prescriptions; verify accuracy and interactions.
• Report prescription errors to the Pharmacist and follow quality policies.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare and co-pay regulations.
• Engage patients to resolve issues and ensure positive experiences.
• Process third-party claims and work with insurers for payment.
• Maintain and pursue required certifications and continuing education.
• Monitor healthcare and pharmacy knowledge and skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
