Job summary

ChenMed is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our practice by processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting pharmacists in regulatory compliance. You will engage patients and healthcare teams, handling data entry and verifying medication accuracy.

The role requires high school education, state registration, and at least one year of pharmacy experience. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel for training is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent; experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting including pharmacy/medical data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Review and comply with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct.
  • Greet patients and assist healthcare providers, answer questions, refer to Pharmacist as needed.
  • Maintain inventory by checking stock, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations including HIPAA, Medicare and Co-pay requirements.
  • Assist in entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and fill prescriptions.
