Job summary

Forum Pharmacy in Illinois is seeking a Pharmacy Filling Technician to support medication preparation and labeling with precision.

The role requires an IL-licensed technician, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work every other weekend plus three holidays.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois.
• Experience in long‑term care or hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Every other weekend and 3 holidays per year required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve, count, measure, prepare, package, and label medications and non‑sterile compounds.
• Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment related to job duties.
• Comply with government regulations, standards of practice, policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and supplies at work stations.
• Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
• Participate in quality improvement programs to meet standards.

Job description

Hourly Rate: $17.25 - $20.00

Shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Every other weekend and 3 holidays per year required

What you'll do as a Pharmacy Filling Technician

• Comply with all applicable government regulations, standards of practice, company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
• Assist in maintaining and managing inventory and supplies as they relate to work stations.
• Assist in resolving facility/patient problems under emergency conditions.
• Take part in quality improvement programs to meet company and accreditation standards.

What we need

• Current unencumbered license in the state of practice: Certified Pharmacy Technician (certification not required for Illinois Pharmacy Technicians licensed before 2008).
• Experience in long‑term care or hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Excellent math, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Every other weekend and 3 holidays per year required.
