Qualifications

• Graduate from an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician program or military/technical program.
• Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process prescription orders and screen for accuracy and compliance.
• Determine substance, strength, dosage and quantity for dispensing in line with SOPs.
• Prepare medication packaging, labels, and perform final checks with the Pharmacist.
• Provide patient instruction on proper use of medications.
