Job summary

Compass Government Solutions is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide services at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas. The role is part of a proposal effort and incumbents are encouraged to apply.

The LCSW will perform screening, triage, and counseling for service members, ensure documentation and HIPAA compliance, and coordinate care with supervisors and unit leadership as required by DoD directives.

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program.
• Two years post-MSW clinical experience in the last 3 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen service members for deployment eligibility per COCOM requirements.
• Provide initial screening of service members with positive Behavioral Health screening.
• Make clinical decisions on the need for further counseling or treatment.
• Document services and maintain records per directives and required policies.
• Maintain productivity and comply with DoD/DHA/MTF training requirements.

Monday - Friday 5 AM to 4:30 PM (Subject to change in support of the mission)

Job Duties

Duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• The LCSW may be involved with seeing service members who scorelow, moderate, or high on the Behavioral Health Screening tools in use.The purpose will be to determine if the service member is able to return from active duty to his/her home of record with a referral for continued services at home or need to stay at Ft. Bliss for continued counseling and/or treatment.
• Provide initial screening of service members whoscreenedpositivetothe BehavioralHealth. Screen deploying SM using COCOM requirements todetermineeligibility for deployment. Review waivers todetermineif they meet COCOM requirements.
• The LCSW will make clinical decisions on the need for further counseling and/or treatment.
• Assess a high volume of clients todetermineextentof their issues and if the issues require further assessment and potential treatment.
• Consult with supervisor or CP todeterminebestcourse of action for the service member and his/her unit of assignment and their mission.
• Discuss pertinent issues with the Commanders and First Sergeants as applicable within the HIPAA guidelines.
• Use of telecommunications and information technologies to provide health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and health-related information across distances.
• Document services provided. Maintain documentation of allserviceprovidedin accordance withapplicable directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy.
• Ensureall documentation and reports are legible and complete.The CP shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards to include but not limited to timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content and signature.
• Crisis intervention (contact hospital for transport or callMP's. Referral to VHA asappropriate.
• Complete each encounter at the end of the day and appropriately close the record no later than 24 hours.
• Shall see the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control, which shall be reported to the Section OIC/NCOIC or designee.
• Shallcomply withall MTF productivity standards andmaintaina level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
• Shall abide by all clinical standards, rules, and procedures including requirements forlicensure, credentialing, and quality assurance programs.
• Shallcomply withall health requirements, immunizations, and vaccinations.
• Shallcomplete all DoD, DHA, and MTF-specified training requirements.
• Shall personally record hours worked in the Defense Medical Human Resources System – internet (DMHRSi) system, or othersystem, as required by the MTF.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) - Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Experience

• Clinical social work, either through a master's-level practicum or two (2) years post-MSW experience, in the last 3 (three) years, in a clinical/treatment setting as a full-time LCSW.

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
