Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision and in accordance with policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; if PTCB certified, assist with technicians and cashiers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers by greeting and offering assistance, resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Develop relationships with valuable customers and support inventory and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist and adhere to QA policies.
• Register related sales on the cash register and assist customers to locate products.
• Handle non-urgent calls to physicians and process third-party claims.
• Support inventory management: ordering, unpacking, storage, and asset protection.
• Assist in clinical services labeling and coordination with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain good relations with local medical community through outreach.
• Maintain clean and stocked Pharmacy Department; ensure compliance with policies and proper appearance.
• Complete special assignments as needed.
• Attend training and earn continuing education credits to stay updated.
