Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy while delivering a distinctive customer experience. You will work under direct supervision, processing prescriptions and using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and you may coach technicians and cashiers as needed.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, resolving issues, and supporting inventory management and store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and pharmacy duties in compliance with policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist and coach technicians and cashiers in operations where applicable.
