HAN Staff is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Tehachapi, CA to join our correctional healthcare team. The role handles dispensing, prescription processing, and inventory, with a 90-day contract and a start date around 7/27/26. Shift is Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, with competitive benefits.

Candidate must hold a CA license/certification and have at least 1 year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience; compliance documents like BLS, fit test, and immunization records may be required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Copy of PSV or equivalent verification if required by the licensing board.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications.
• Receive and process prescription orders accurately.
• Measure, count, label, and package medications according to procedures.
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prescription billing.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Ensure medications are stored properly and within expiration guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service while directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment.
